American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Jamil be careful what electricians you use. You certainly don't want another fire. You used to use the best electrician in Chapel Hill, Buck Parrish Electric. But when he gave you to high a price, you went with some other electricians. Then your resturant burned down. You should of stuck with the local guys that you can trust. But the food and atmosphere is great. Except the music. Mediterranean music SUCKS!

Delicious selection of Mediterranean goods. Attached to small grocery store! Beautiful decor, helpful servers. Many made without gluten items, including GF pita bread! Loved the Moroccan beef, cucumber salad, Tzaziki, pickled radishes (condiment bar), and key lime cheesecake bar.

It had been awhile since we ate here and we wanted to try something different. I went with the Moroccan beef tagine (it looked good) with sides of sauteed cauliflower and pasta salad. My dining companion ordered a spinach fatayer. As we usually do, we shared our food. We both thought everything we ate was great! The beef was served over some really good rice and both sides were good. The spinach fatayer was rather large and quite delicious. My only complaint was my meal came out probably 10 minutes before the fatayer was delivered. I'm sure because the fatayer was baked, but I always prefer that we get our food at the same time. But since we were sharing, it's a minor complaint. We enjoyed our visit and definitely plan on eating here more often.

Met Deli is one of the most established and beloved local restaurants on Franklin street in Chapel Hill, NC, and for good reason. I first discovered it while working at UNC in 2008, and even though Iβve since moved to another campus farther away, I still make the trip β itβs absolutely worth it. This business has been a community staple for many years, and Iβm so happy they reopened after the fire. The food is fresh, authentic, and wonderfully flavorful. I have never encountered a Mediterranean menu with this kind of selection anywhere else. In addition to their incredible Mediterranean offerings, they serve Turkish-style pizzas, bake their own bread fresh daily, carry a small speciality grocery, and offer desserts. My current favorite dessert is their chocolate baklava β not too sweet, perfectly baked, and loaded with pistachios. The owner is a warm, genuine part of the community and it shows in every aspect of the restaurant. Price is comparable to other restaurants in the downtown Chapel Hill and the town. If I could give them ten stars, I would. My only heads-up: parking in downtown Chapel Hill can be tricky β towing and ticketing are no joke β so plan accordingly. But donβt l
